I’ve had Jim and Tom do a complete exterior renovation on my house that included new siding. Windows. Exterior Insulation. Soffit and Facia. And Eves. They are an excellent local family owned business in Fort Sask that stand behind their workmanship with very reasonable quotes. As a matter of fact after I completed my exterior reno 2 neighbors directly beside me had the same exterior reno completed by Fort Sask Reno’s. Highly recommend and look no further. Plus if there’s any issues they pick up the phone and come back to rectify. Not many companies do that these days.
Covered Roof & Concrete Upgrade
For this rural property in Sturgeon County, our crew coordinated a full exterior upgrade that tied together new concrete work with a custom covered roof structure. The existing concrete was removed and replaced with reinforced, broom-finished slabs, including a double-sided custom step, new sidewalks, and a front driveway apron designed for long-term durability.
We then framed and finished a new roof extension over the entrance, complete with posts, detailed beam and shake-style siding, soffit, fascia, eavestrough, and integrated lighting. Fort Sask Reno handled the permitting, locates, subcontractor coordination, and final topsoil/backfill so the homeowners were left with a clean, finished space ready for everyday use and entertaining.
Scope of work included:
- Removal of existing concrete and preparation of subgrade
- New reinforced 32MPa concrete:
- Double-sided custom step
- East-side sidewalk
- Front apron and connecting walks
- Saw-cut control joints and cure/seal treatment
- Framing and construction of a new covered roof structure (~6′ x 8″)
- Posts, beam detailing, asphalt roofing, soffit, fascia, and eavestrough
- Exterior finishing with shake/siding details and handrail installation
- Electrical rough-in and pot lighting for the covered area
- Utility locates, permit coordination, backfilling, topsoil, and final clean-up
