*Job Summary*

This is a leadership position with opportunity for advancement.

Must have high level of experience in leading residential renovation projects such as whole home, bathroom renovations, kitchen renovations and basement developments / renovations.

Candidates must be capable of running jobs and directing less experienced staff and sub-contractors.

High level verbal and written communication plus organization skills of primary importance.

Ability to use customer management system applications, (Jobber + Company Cam), to effectively communicate and document work.

– Finishing Carpentry (cabinetry, trim work, interior and exterior door installations).

– Drywall, tape and paint.

– Floor laying (sub-flooring, laminate, vinyl plank, linoleum, hardwood).

– Formal training in related technical school / journey person accreditation / project management training, coupled with demonstrated ability to complete like projects.

– Previous experience in a leadership role in residential renovation projects is required.

– Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.

Exterior Carpenter – LEAD

Pay: $30.00–$36.96 an hour

*Job Summary*

This is a leadership position.

Candidates must be capable of running jobs and directing less experienced exterior employees.

High level verbal and written communication plus organization skills of primary importance. Ability to use customer management system applications, (Jobber + Company Cam), to effectively communicate and document work.

– Installation of all types of siding(wood, vinyl, metal), soffit, fascia, capping, eavestrough, fences, decks, trim board, rigid exterior insulation, general carpentry, installing windows and doors, and demolition.

– 5+ years of experience in exterior installations required. (Ability to perform exterior renovations with little to no help excluding labourers)

– Driver’s license and transportation required.

– Any safety tickets an asset: (CSTS, Aerial Work Platform, Fall Protection).

– Must have Personal Protection Equipment: (steel-toed boots, safety glasses, gloves), as well as basic hand tools: (carpenters’ pouch, hammer, tape measure, knife, basic power tools, etc).

Working Conditions:

– Heavy lifting: strength to lift between 50 and 80 pounds.

– Working on and deploying ladders, scaffolding, and aerial platforms generally at 20 feet or lower, as well as occasional jobs up to 60 feet.

– Working conditions can become dusty at times necessitating working with masks and respirators.

– Loud working conditions.

– All seasonal conditions except for extreme weather conditions: (heavy rains, extreme winds, heavy snows).

– Operations in and around Fort Saskatchewan (within 1 hour of Fort Saskatchewan at most).

Salary:

9.6% per pay period of vacation pay, and benefits after six months.
